What’s important to you?

I’ve recognized a tendency in myself recently that has the potential to make me difficult to work with. When I work on a project, I have strict criteria for its success. I also hate explaining this criteria to other people.

Over the last little while, I’ve grown accustomed to working alone. It’s nice. You get to move as quickly as you like because you don’t have to explain your thinking. However, when you start working with people, that starts to get stressful. You haven’t spent much time thinking about the exact things you want so communicating those things becomes difficult.

I’ve started taking time to understand my own reasoning for my behavior every time I start a new project. You should consider doing the same.
